Hey everybody!! Welcome to Teen Tech Night at the Centralia Public Library!!!
March 6th through the 12th is the official Teen Tech week. Teen Tech week is part of the Young Adult Library Services Association which is a group from ALA which stands for American Library Association. The point of Teen Tech week is for libraries to throw open their physical & virtual doors and show their communities all the great things they're doing for teens with technology.
I hope you are enjoying this event! Please leave a school appropriate comment on what you think about the event as well as any suggestions you have for improving or doing something different for next year's event.
Good luck on the rest of your bingo card! :)
Till next time!!

I read some great books in December!
the first one was Matched by Allie Condie. This book is first in a series. here is a description from goodreads.com about this new book!
Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate . . . until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.
The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow.
the second book that I read that I really loved was Birthmarked by Caragh O'Brien. here is another description from www.goodreads.com that will help you to see what this great book is about!
After climate change, on the north shore of Unlake Superior, a dystopian world is divided between those who live inside the wall, and those, like sixteen-year-old midwife Gaia Stone, who live outside. It’s Gaia’s job to “advance” a quota of infants from poverty into the walled Enclave, until the night one agonized mother objects, and Gaia’s parents are arrested.
Badly scarred since childhood, Gaia is a strong, resourceful loner who begins to question her society. As Gaia’s efforts to save her parents take her within the wall, she herself is arrested and imprisoned.
Fraught with difficult moral choices and rich with intricate layers of codes, Birthmarked explores a colorful, cruel, eerily familiar world where one girl can make all the difference, and a real hero makes her own moral code.
